The Frye Company began as a small shop located in Marlborough, Massachusetts in 1863. During WWII the Frye family produced custom made Wellington boots for servicemen upon request. Eventually by utilizing mail order, The Frye company began supplying soldiers and pilots all over the world and even General George Patton received a pair. Today Frye produces many styles based on the same concepts from the 1860's, and many styles are still produced in the United States.
Frye quality products are produced with painstaking detail, taking over 190 steps to complete a single pair of boots. Only the highest quality, natural oil tanned leathers are used in making Frye products and the same attention to detail used in making their footwear is used in making the other products and accessories.
