Hunter was founded in Scotland in 1856 by American Henry Lee Norris and began as the North British Rubber Company.
Hunter produces boots, sock liners, sandals, and accessories for men, women, and children. Hunter is best known for its Original boot-line introduced in 1956 and the handcrafted process of combining 26 parts is still used today. Hunter is still headquartered in Scotland but has offices in London, New York, and Düsseldorf. Some of the accessories that Hunter produces include bags, packs, iphone cases, umbrellas, and shoe care products. Hunter also produces ponchos and other outwear.
